A big concert will be held at the Freedon Square of Tallinn in 29th of July to celebrate the Estonian first presidency of the Council of the European Union in the period of July-December 2017. Concert is free and several beloved and well-known Estonian artists are performing – Vaiko Eplik, Kadri Voorand, Mari Jürjens with Estonian Cello Ensemble’, Kukerpillid, Genka, Winny Puhh, Estonian Voices, NOËP, Frankie Animal etc. President of the European Council Donald Tusk, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and the Prime Minister of Estonia Jüri Ratas are also present and greeting the crowd.
For the occasion also the unique wooden urban environment installation will be created and a cafe area. Concert will be live-streamed via Estonian Television, where Anu Välba and Johannes Tralla are hosting the program.
Presidency is a good opportunity for Estonia to see the European democracy closely, where even the smallest countries of the European Union have an equal voting rights.
